Jazz at Lincoln Center proudly announces the esteemed 2025 Ertegun Jazz Hall of Fame inductees:

Joe Henderson
Abbey Lincoln
Thad Jones
Melba Liston
Horace Silver
Tadd Dameron

In addition to their enduring contributions to music, the 2025 Ertegun Jazz Hall of Fame inductees have profoundly influenced Jazz at Lincoln Center’s programming throughout the organization’s 38-year history.

The 2025 Ertegun Jazz Hall of Fame honorees will be inducted through curated performances and heartfelt tributes at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Dizzy’s Club from Oct. 21 to 23. Performers and presenters scheduled to appear include Renee Rosnes, Marc Cary, Ekep Nkwelle, Roger Humphries, Vincent Gardner, Vanguard Jazz Orchestra, Future of Jazz Orchestra, and more. Many of these performers share deep, personal connections with the honorees. Renée Rosnes began performing with Joe Henderson as early as 1987 and remained a close musical collaborator throughout the remainder of his career; Marc Cary toured and recorded with Abbey Lincoln for over a decade; and Roger Humphries contributed to some of Horace Silver’s most iconic recordings. The complete 2025 Ertegun Jazz Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony sets are listed below.

Dizzy’s Club is located in Frederick P. Rose Hall, the home of Jazz at Lincoln Center, at 60th Street and Broadway in New York, NY. For information, visit jazz.org/dizzys.

Each honoree was selected from a pool of nominees who received a high volume of votes from jazz enthusiasts worldwide in previous years.
