JAZZ AT LINCOLN CENTER NAMES TATYANA GERSHKOVICH AS CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

New York, NY
(April 15, 2025) —

Jazz at Lincoln Center announced today the appointment of veteran executive Tatyana Gershkovich as Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately. Ms. Gershkovich will report to Executive Director Greg Scholl.

In her new role, Ms. Gershkovich will oversee all aspects of JALC’s finance and accounting operations, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and risk management. She will collaborate with JALC’s executive team and provide strategic financial planning and insights to support growth and operational excellence.

Ms. Gershkovich will also be responsible for refining financial and budgeting systems and processes to empower JALC to raise funds, generate revenue, allocate resources most effectively, and track and report the impact of its many programs. She will also liaise with key Committees of JALC’s Board, including Finance, Audit, and Investment, on related matters.

This appointment comes as Jazz at Lincoln Center begins to implement a new strategic plan, shaping the next chapter in the organization’s celebrated history of supporting jazz fans, artists, music teachers, advocates, and scholars. In pursuit of this plan, Ms. Gershkovich and Mr. Scholl will work closely with Managing and Artistic Director Wynton Marsalis and JALC’s Board of Directors.

Ms. Gershkovich joins Jazz at Lincoln Center after a distinguished career spanning more than two decades, most recently at American Express, serving as Vice President and CFO of the company’s Global Services Group & Enterprise Functions. There, she was instrumental in developing a strategic plan for the servicing organization, identifying critical performance and cost drivers, and establishing key metrics to assess performance. This experience will be invaluable as JALC puts its own plan into action.

A lifelong music enthusiast, Ms. Gershkovich has also contributed her financial expertise as Trustee and Treasurer for the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, a 127-year-old nonprofit serving over 10,000 New Yorkers across all five boroughs, providing private music lessons, group classes and ensembles, music therapy, and access to affordable rehearsal studios for musicians.

“Tatyana brings a wealth of experience to lead our team of finance professionals,” said Mr. Scholl. “We are confident that she will be a key contributor, offering fresh perspectives as we shape our future. An organization is only as strong as the connection its staff and leadership have to its mission. Tatyana‘s love of jazz is a meaningful addition to our DNA.”

“I’m deeply honored and excited to be joining the extraordinary team at Jazz at Lincoln Center,” said Mrs. Gershkovich. “It’s a privilege to support JALC’s vital mission of celebrating, promoting, and preserving this remarkable art form. After spending my entire career to date in the private sector, I’m eager to contribute to the continued strength and long-term resilience of this iconic cultural institution.”

Ms. Gershkovich resides in Brooklyn, NY with her husband, Oleg, and their two teenage sons. Outside of her professional life, she is an avid swing dancer, enjoying the live jazz scene across New York City.
