Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Family Concert: What is The Jazz Age? featuring Catherine Russell takes young audiences on a journey through the “Roaring 20s” on Saturday, October 26 at 3:00 p.m. in Rose Theater.

The Grammy-Award winning singer and masterful song interpreter takes families on a lively exploration of the 1920s—a time defined by decadence, defiance, and profound social change. With her exceptional ensemble, Ms. Russell transports viewers to an era where jazz legends like Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington made their mark with groundbreaking first recordings.

Geared towards audiences five years and up, this dynamic concert in a relaxed setting is set to deliver a high-energy, hard-swinging experience for listeners of all ages. From the infectious rhythms to the timeless melodies, What is The Jazz Age? offers an opportunity for children and adults alike to connect with the rich history of jazz in an engaging and entertaining way. Ms. Russell and her ensemble performs songs including Cotton Club Stomp and It Don’t Mean a Thing by Duke Ellington, Blue Skies by Ben Selvin, “Rhapsody in Blue” from  Paul Whiteman & His Orchestra and much more.
