Jazz at Lincoln Center sets the tone for the most romantic time of year, celebrating Valentine’s Day with live performances at two of New York City’s most iconic venues.
On Feb. 14, singer and songwriter Morgan James brings her imaginative storytelling and soulful vocals to Dizzy’s Club for an intimate Valentine’s Day performance, perfect for friends and lovers alike. Alongside music from her acclaimed 2023 release Nobody’s Fool, she presents acoustic interpretations of repertoire from iconic artists like Donny Hathaway, Aretha Franklin, Joni Mitchell, and Otis Redding. Breathtaking views of Central Park, a curated menu, and an enchanting live performance await love celebrants of all ages.
Five-time Grammy Award-winning singer and NEA Jazz Master Dianne Reeves returns to Rose Theater Feb. 16-17, continuing a treasured Valentine’s Day tradition in The House of Swing. Leading an all-star sextet, she shares songs of rapture and anguish, of romance and heartbreak—all in celebration of that mysterious force called love. Revealing an approach to melody and phrasing as skilled as it is spontaneous, the supreme vocalist and expert song interpreter delivers cherished standards and surprise repertoire. After the show, concert goers may enjoy a complimentary cover to the evening’s 11 p.m. Late Night Session by presenting their Rose Theater ticket stub at the Dizzy’s Club entrance.
Rose Theater and Dizzy’s Club are located at Frederick P. Rose Hall, home of Jazz at Lincoln Center, at 60th Street and Broadway in New York City. For additional information, visit jazz.org.
