Chucho Valdés And Chick Corea Collaborate For The First Time at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Rose Theater

November 15-16, 8:00 p.m., Rose Theater

New York, NY
(September 19, 2019) —

For two nights only, Jazz at Lincoln Center presents the first-ever collaboration between two legendary jazz pianists, Chucho Valdés and Chick Corea.

On November 15-16 at 8:00 p.m., Chucho Valdés with special guest Chick Corea begins as a master class in solo piano performance with Valdés selecting and improvising pieces across a broad spectrum of Cuban, Afro-Latin, and jazz styles. With fleet-fingered, cross-cultural brilliance in every phrase, Valdés brings unbridled passion and astonishing technique to every performance. Valdés is joined by Corea in the second half of the concert, marking the debut collaboration of the living legends.

Chucho Valdés with special guest Chick Corea takes place in Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Rose Theater, located on Broadway at 60th Street in New York City.

A free pre-concert discussion about the music and artist takes place at 7:00 p.m. in the Agnes Varis and Karl Leichtman Studio, located in the Irene Diamond Education Center at Jazz at Lincoln Center.
