Jazz at Lincoln Center will be setting the mood with 12 curated sets of iconic love songs, hosted in two of the most romantic venues in New York City, starting Thursday, February 9 through Valentine’s Day, Tuesday, February 14. Freddy Cole Quartet: Songs for Lovers will kick off the weekend at Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola, while the sultry sounds of Dianne Reeves will fill Rose Theater during her two performances February 10-11. Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola will then host an unforgettable evening of Brianna Thomas: It Had To Be You on February 14, along with a special menu with wine pairing for one night only.
All performances will take place at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Frederick P. Rose Hall, located in New York City on Broadway at 60th Street, in Rose Theater and Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola.
In addition, fans around the world can celebrate love with Jazz at Lincoln Center. Wynton Marsalis, Managing and Artistic Director of Jazz at Lincoln Center, has created a playlist of romantic jazz titled Wynton Marsalis Presents: Songs for Lovers, available exclusively on Spotify at jazz.org/love.

Dianne Reeves will assuredly set the mood for this beloved Jazz at Lincoln Center tradition as she returns for the sixth time to seduce audiences with songs and stories of love and romance. Her alluring sound, fondness of love songs, and unusually broad spectrum of sensual repertoire promises a special Valentine’s Day weekend performance. With nuanced restraint and dynamics, Reeves inhabits every story she spins into song. The fifteen-time GRAMMY® Award winner has long revered New York City and often chooses to spend her Valentine’s Day in this shimmering city of romance. Of course, there’s no better place to experience this occasion with Reeves than her “home away from home” in the center of the Big Apple, the elegant and intimate Rose Theater.

Soulful vocalist Brianna Thomas returns to Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola for a seductive Valentine’s Day performance. Thomas is a versatile young performer oozing with personality, and she is particularly adept when it comes to the blues and ballads, promising a perfect soundtrack for romance. She will perform selections from her 2014 critically-acclaimed debut album You Must Believe in Love for this special evening. Songs include “Bye Bye Blackbird,” “Lover of my Soul,” “In a Mellow Tone,” “Stardust,” and originals like “Bree’s Blues.” In the candlelit jazz club overlooking Columbus Circle, Thomas and her first-rate band will leave audiences with a Valentine’s Day evening to remember.
