Webop Summer Term Open for Enrollment

JAZZ CLASSES FOR CHILDREN: WEBOP® SUMMER 2016 TERM OPEN FOR ENROLLMENT

New York, NY
(April 20, 2016) —  

Jazz at Lincoln Center’s WeBop Summer 2016 term is now open for enrollment. Named “best music class in the city” by New York Family, this interactive jazz class for children (ages 8 months to 5 years) is led by trained faculty and  allows families and caregivers to explore their creativity and musicality through jazz concepts, instruments, and great performers.

This summer, participants will discover the unique sounds and styles of jazz during the four week “Exploring Jazz Styles” term (May 31 – June 26). All classes are 45 minutes each and are held in the Irene Diamond Education Center at Frederick P. Rose Hall, home of Jazz at Lincoln Center at 60th street and Broadway, New York, NY.

The four week summer term fee is $200. A 10% discount is available for families registering more than one child. For registration and additional information, visit jazz.org/webop.

Summer term curriculum:
Week 1: New Orleans Jazz
Week 2: Swing
Week 3: Afro Cuban Jazz
Week 4: Band week!

Classes are segmented based on age from 8 months—5 years:

  • Hipsters: 8-16 months old
  • Scatters: Walking-23 months old
  • Stompers: 2-3 years old
  • Gumbo Group: 2-5 years old
  • Syncopators: 4-5 years old
