(January 12, 2016) —

Jazz at Lincoln Center continues to celebrate the centennial of legendary crooner Frank Sinatra with Family Concert: Who Is Frank Sinatra? The concert takes place on Saturday, February 6 at 1pm & 3pm at Rose Theater in Jazz at Lincoln Center’s home, Frederick P. Rose Hall, located at Broadway at 60th Street in New York, New York.

Jazz for Young People  concludes for the season with an enriching illustration of just what makes “Old Blue Eyes” a singular pop icon. Singer Kenny Washington will join Andy Farber & His Orchestra to perform some of Sinatra’s most revered songs like “I’ve Got the World On a String,” “That’s Life,” and “It Was a Very Good Year.” Musician and storyteller Allan Harris serves as host and guide for the show as they delve into Sinatra’s sense of swing, impeccable phrasing, and signature rendering of ballads.

After nearly 25 years, this beloved family-oriented series continues to be a wellspring of enlightenment for curious minds. Pre-concert activities, including visual arts and music workshops, are free for ticketholders and begin at 12:15pm and 2:15pm.

Ticket prices start at $10.  Tickets can be purchased through jazz.org 24 hours a day or Center Charge at 212-721-6500, open daily from 10am to 9pm. Tickets can also be purchased at the Jazz at Lincoln Center Box Office, located on Broadway at 60th Street, ground floor. Box Office hours: Monday–Saturday from 10am to 6pm (or 30 minutes past curtain) and Sunday from noon to 6pm (or 30 minutes past curtain).
