Living Legend of the Blues, James Cotton “Superharp” Band Returns to Jazz at Lincoln Center

WHO/WHAT/WHEN
Regarded as the cornerstone of American music James Cotton and his “Superharp” Band performs in The Allen Room on September 28-29 as part of Jazz at Lincoln Center’s 25th Anniversary season and his only New York City performance for the remainder of the year. Cotton will demonstrate why he is the most prolific living blues harmonica master, by drawing from a repertoire of Chicago blues, Delta blues, and his own beautiful standards. This show kicks off JALC’s Blues Series this season, exploring the roots of jazz. The “Superharp” Band includes James Cotton, harmonica; Darrell Nulisch, vocals; Tom Holland, guitar/vocals; Noel Neal, bass/vocals; Jerry Porter, drums.

Ticket prices are $65 for the 7:30pm sets and $55 for the 9:30pm sets, and can be purchasedhere.
